Patek Philippe presented the new Nautilus 5811, the successor of the beloved reference 5711 (you can read the complete history of the Nautilus here).
The debut model is the Nautilus Ref. 5811/1G-001 in white gold which introduces a slightly larger case whose diameter increases from 40 mm to 41 mm. The total height is just 8.2 mm.
Equipped with a screw-down crown, the case is water-resistant to 120 metres / 400 feet and composed of two parts – an interesting reminiscence of the original 1976 Nautilus (ref. 3700/1). In fact, it was only with ref. 5711 that Patek Philippe introduced a three-part case, where the case back was a separate part and integrated a sapphire crystal to display the movement.
The blue sunburst dial maintains the typical horizontal embossed bars and features a black gradation as well as several technical and aesthetic refinements. The gold applied hour markers and the hands are filled with luminescent coating.
Beating at the frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) with a power reserve of minimum 35 hours, the self-winding caliber 26-330 S C can be seen through the sapphire-crystal case back. Its stop-seconds mechanism allows the time to be set with one-second accuracy.

A new pull-out piece lever system (patent pending) allows the winding stem to be pulled out from the dial side.
The white gold bracelet is secured to the wrist by a secured fold-over clasp introducing a new lockable adjustment system.
The new Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5811/1G-001 has a price of Euro 70,350. patek.com
