Among several novelties presented last October (you can find them here), Patek Philippe also presented the Nautilus 5712/1R-001.
The precious rose-gold case and bracelet of this model beautifully frame a brown sunburst dial with a delicate black gradation to the outside and the typical horizontal embossed bars.
The displays of the three complications – an analog date, moon phases, and a power-reserve indicator – are arranged in an unusual but very legible way. The gold applied hour markers and the hands are filled with luminescent coating.
Water resistant to 60 meters / 200 feet, the 40 mm x 8.52 mm case with its unmistakeable the octagonal bezel and the comfortable integrated link bracelet are enhanced by the alternation of polished and satin-brushed surfaces, all finished by hand. The crown is screw-down.
Comprised of 265 parts and visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the self-winding caliber 240 PS IRM C LU beats at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) with an autoomy of 38 to 48 hours. The off-center minirotor is crafted from 22K gold.
The bracelet is fitted with a patented Patek Philippe fold-over clasp featuring a new lockable adjustment system which makes it possible to adjust its length by 2 or 4 mm for added wearing comfort.
The new Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712/1R-001 has a suggested retail price of Euro 83,470. patek.com
