Patek Philippe has extended its collection of complications with the first chronograph for left-handers in Patek Philippe’s recent history, the new Ref. 5373P-001 split-seconds mono-pusher chronograph with perpetual calendar.

Patek Philippe Ref. 5373P
This new model distinguishes itself from the Ref. 5372 predecessor with inverted displays and operating elements. The crown (with an integrated chronograph monopusher) is here at 9 o’clock and the split-seconds pusher occupies an unusual position at 8 o’clock.

The 38.3 mm x 12.93 mm case crafted from platinum frames a charcoal-coloured dial with a black gradation and red varnished chronograph hands that reflects a sporty and contemporary style echoed on the black calfskin strap, embossed with a fabric pattern and secured to the wrist by a fold-over clasp.

The indication of the time is based on applied Arabic numerals and faceted Dauphine hour and minute hands in white gold.
Patek Philippe Ref. 5373P
Equipped with interchangeable solid and sapphire crystal case backs, the new Ref. 5373P-001 is powered by the exclusive caliber CHR-27-525 PS Q, the thinnest split-seconds chronograph movement with perpetual calendar ever built at just 7.3 mm of height.
Patek Philippe Ref. 5373P
Comprised of 476 parts, this hand-wound movement combines a split-seconds chronograph with column wheel to a perpetual calendar with day, month, leap-year cycle and day/night indication in apertures, analog date and moon phases. Beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, it offers a power reserve of 38 to 48 hours (with the chronograph uncoupled).
Patek Philippe Ref. 5373P
The bridges, decorated with Geneva striping, are carefully chamfered and the edges are polished. A focus is also on the elegance of the form parts and the bridges à l’ancienne. Their acute internal angles can only be completed by hand.
Patek Philippe Ref. 5373P
Like all of Patek Philippe’s platinum watches, the new Ref. 5373P-001 features a brilliant cut diamond in the caseband. As an exception for left-handers, it is set at 12 o’clock in this timepiece.
Patek Philippe Ref. 5373P
Water-resistant to 30 metres / 100 feet, the new Patek Philippe Ref. 5373P-001 split-seconds monopusher chronograph with perpetual calendar is crafted only in small series and has an indicative price of CHF 500,000. patek.com
