Audemars Piguet added the all-black Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph “50th Anniversary” to its ever-expanding Royal Oak collection.
Endowed with the line’s latest design evolution introduced on the occasion of the Royal Oak’s 50th anniversary (you can read about it here), this model is fully crafted, bracelet included, in black ceramic.
The 41 mm x 12.4 mm case with satin-brushed and polished surfaces is equipped with a screw-locked crown to ensure water resistance up to a pressure of 5 ATM (approximately 50 meters / 165 feet).
Protected by a glare-proofed sapphire crystal, the black dial with “Grande Tapisserie” pattern and black counters is contrasted with pink gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands, all filled with luminescent coating.
The sapphire crystal case back showcases the self-winding Calibre 4401 featuring the “50-year” anniversary oscillating weight.
Beating at the frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), this flyback chronograph movement offers 70 hours of power reserve.
The price of the new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph “50th Anniversary” ref. 26240CE.OO.1225CE.01 is Euro 74,900 / US$ 74,600. audemarspiguet.com
