Following the blue version launched in 2020, Audemars Piguet presented a new interpretation of its Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon GMT, this time characterised by the combination of titanium and green ceramic.
The imposing 44 mm x 16.1 mm case is crafted from sandblasted titanium case while satin-brushed green ceramic is used for the bezel, the screw-locked crown and the pushpiece. The pushpiece guards are made of sandblasted titanium.
The avant-garde aesthetics frames an openworked hand-wound movement that is visible through the front and back AR-coated sapphire crystals.
Sandblasted green CVD-coloured bridges are justapoxed to silver-toned components. Fully visible at 9 o’clock, the flying tourbillon is complemented by a second time-zone indicator at 3 o’clock which can be adjusted using the pushpiece on the right side.
At 6 o’clock, the function selector displays the crown position: neutral (N), time-setting (H) and winding (R).
The pink gold Royal Oak hands are enhanced by luminescent coating for improved readability in darker environments.
Made of 348 parts, the hand-wound Manufacture Calibre 2954 beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour ensuring 10 days of power reserve.
Water resistant to 100 meters / 330 feet, the watch is matched to a green rubber strap with sandblasted titanium AP folding clasp. An additional black rubber strap is delivered with the watch.
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon GMT Green ref. 26589IO.OO.D056CA.01 has a suggested retail price of CHF 198,900. audemarspiguet.com
