Girard-Perregaux released the Laureato 38 mm Copper, a mid-sized version of its Laureato luxury steel watch characterised by a special dial in the colour of copper.
This fascinating dial is not merely a one-dimensional surface, but encompasses a Clous de Paris motif, a traditional pattern composed of multiple pyramidal structures that beautifully play with light. Its colour transitions from tawny brown to pink-toned gold with multiple shades in between.
Baton-type hands and applied indexes filled with Super-LumiNova indicate the hours and minutes while a gold-toned hand shows the seconds.
The lines of case and bracelet, crafted from stainless steel, are highlighted by the alternation of satin-brushed and polished surfaces. Measuring 38 mm x 10 mm, the case ensures water resistance up to a pressure of 100 metres / 330 feet. The H-shaped stainless steel bracelet is secured to the wrist by a triple-folding clasp.
Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the self-winding Calibre GP03300 is entirely manufactured by Girard-Perregaux. Beating at the frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), it offers a power reserve of 46 hours secured by a pink gold oscillating weight.
Water resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet, the new Girard-Perregaux Laureato 38 mm Copper ref. 81005-11-3154-1CM has a retail price of Euro 15,000 including VAT / US$ 14,900 excluding local sales taxes. girard-perregaux.com
